The idea came to life during the summer of 2003 from six individuals;
Antonio Musano, Peter Amalfi, Antonino Sciotto, Philip Amalfi, Denis Labattaglia and Luigi Verrucci. We asked ourselves, what can we do in order to help our local community of Ville Emard, located in the south west section of Montreal.
The idea of organizing a golf tournament was interesting, but I personally did not know where to start. Peter on the other hand had experience, he was former President of another golf tournament, furthermore Antonino, Philip, Luigi and Denis were former members as well.
Peter was the one who encouraged me to get the wheels rolling. I agreed with him and we then set up our first meeting. We needed to recruit members for our committee and decided to approach some old friends, friends that we had not seen in years. During our first meeting we reminisced of the days past when we played floor hockey in the church hall.
We discussed the possibility of doing something together again, something that had great meaning for our community, and so our first Golf Tournament was held in the summer of 2004. Our friendship is unique, we enjoy each others company while having fun doing something exceptional for the children and families of our community.
